Our services include acute psychiatric care for all age groups, 24-hour emergency services, and a full range of services from outpatient and addiction treatment to older adult services for individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses.
Southwestern, through education and outreach services, emphasizes the importance of prevention and educational programs for the well-being of our communities. Through our programs, services, and our outreach, it is our goal to achieve great strides in reducing the stigma associated with seeking mental health services.
We currently have an opening for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide outpatient services to Southwestern patients with psychiatric illness. Primary duties include diagnosis and medication management of psychiatric disorders, treatment planning in collaboration with other Southwestern team members, and consultation with families and other professionals concerning treatment. Clinical supervision and educational presentations about clinical topics may also be requested on occasion.
We offer an excellent benefits package, dedicated colleagues and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the community.
Our diverse team of psychiatrists, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologist, therapists, case managers, and mental health technicians brings a wealth of education and experience to approximately 8,000 patients each year, by providing quality services from 15 locations in our four-county service area. The Youth Day Treatment Program, a partial-hospitalization program for pediatric patients, and a collaborative effort with Vanderburgh County School Corporation, is a valuable child services program.
